In addition to protecting against impacts, because the TPR padding runs the full length of the fingers, it also provides protection against the fingertips getting pinched. Most gloves only provide cut protection to the palm of the glove but this glove is designed to provide complete 360-degree, all-around cut protection at an ANSI A5 rated level. A terry cloth patch on the back of the thumb of each glove gives you a convenient way to wipe away sweat and keep it out of your eyes. To prolong the life of the gloves, a patch has been added to the saddle area between the index finger and thumb to reinforce that high wear area.
